UV Vodka Wins Impact 2005 “Hot Brand” Award
Minnesota-produced Brand Honored For Continued Growth

MINNEAPOLIS (April 3, 2006) — Phillips Distilling Company, long-known for its innovation and quality, is pleased to announce that its own UV Vodka has been named a “Hot Brand” by Impact, the leading spirits industry publication. The awards will be presented by Impact editor and publisher, Marvin Shanken, at the 63rd Annual Wine & Spirits Wholesaler Association Convention in Las Vegas on April 4, 2006.

The annual Impact "Hot Brand" Awards recognize brands and companies that have attained over 200,000 (9 liter) case equivalent depletions in the spirits, beer and wine categories while also meeting one of the following criteria:
-- An established brand with at least double digit growth for each of the past three calendar years (2002 to 2005);
-- A brand that has existed for less than 3 years, and a brand which had been flat or declining previously, has demonstrated at least 15% growth in 2005;
-- A top 10 brand with at least 5% growth in 2005, and at least 15% growth since 2002;
-- Or, a new brand that performed so well in 2005 it merits "Hot Brand" status.
Additional 2005 winners include Captain Morgan Rum, Jack Daniel’s Whiskey, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Grey Goose Vodka, Jagermeister Liqueur and Skyy Vodka – among others.
